“Where did you get such information?” She finally moved after a few seconds, pretending that nothing had happened. I made myself comfortable in the chair, letting the silence grow. I knew how to intimidate people. Interrogations were one of the things I was doing in the past, and quite successfully at that. “If you come here telling me false information and I have to expend resources to get to the bottom of it, I won’t let you off easily.” She kept reading and signing. I was still keeping silent. Saying anything right now would convince her that I did indeed make some things up. That would mean she would just brush the information off the table and continue brooding over the documents, which were probably more important to her than the issue at hand.
