My eyes were frantically searching for anything that would show that there was a person moving. Or pointing the end of their rifle at me. All I could hear were my breaths and frenzied heartbeats. My brain was making me want to run away or hide, yet I was standing still. I had to find out where they were hiding. The reason they got me here and why they didn’t let me leave, it was okay if I didn’t learn them in the end. I just had to get out of here alive. That was my main goal.
