Who knew how many minutes had passed while we were standing there like that. Me, crying my eyes and heart out against Meiko’s chest. He was patting my back without saying anything. His warm embrace was comforting and calming at the same time. It made me feel the warmth of a human in a long time. “I think we should slowly go. You should get some rest. Come together with your trainee tomorrow to report the mission. Just stay the night at the complex. There’s no need for you to just go home and come back.” Meiko’s arms slowly let go of me, while I was wiping my eyes. I wiped my nose and face into my sleeve.
