The VowsPaddy Appleberry watched the taxi depart from the quad. The place was unchanged – the large square tarmac area was surrounded on three sides by the school buildings, with their main doors opposite the open end where the drive narrowed and filtered down to the main road. Paddy had never fully understood why this area was called the quadrangle – it was three-sided in fact – but whatever, it was nice to be back here pondering on this same question that had crossed his mind all those years before His mind drifted back to the last time he had stood in front of the main doors.
