Another woman, another man

The morning was rainy and gloomy matching Lauren's mood perfectly. She woke up around seven in the morning, enjoying her coffee since she saw it as the only bright spot of this day. She went to her laptop turning on some music and checking her mails from work. She has been absent from company last week but was till on track looking for new opportunities. There were few, smaller ones actually, but still she was glad that they were still in the game. Four smaller companies wanted to hire them as their media house for outdoor advertising. Although it wasn't enough to get them on their feet Lauren was grateful for them. She called Angela and asked her to set up meetings with the representatives. Lauren heard her phone ringing from bedroom, It was Sam. "Hello?" Lauren was glad she called her, she didn't want to interrupt her vacation. "Laurie, have you seen the news on the portals?" Sam sounded like she was whispering "No?"Lauren had some strange feeling It had to do something with her. "Well, they say you are getting married to Italian famous businessman and that the wedding is scheduled for the next week and you haven't even invited me, bitch." Last word she was screaming, no more whispers. Lauren laughed because she finds It funny that Sam thinks she wouldn't invite her at her wedding, even at this kind. "Sam, relax. Of course you are invited to my wedding as a godmother, you silly." Lauren sighed before continuing "I still don't know the exact date and time, I found out yesterday. I am meeting today with Alessio, I will know the details tonight. I'll give you a call, okay?" "Okay, Laurie. I want to be with you that day. I have to go now.Love you, bye." "Love you too, Sam.Bye." Lauren's life wouldn't really have a sense without her. After the tragedy that befell Lauren's family she was with her all the time and to this day being her hand of salvation. She could never thank her enough. Lauren's phone ringed again. Sam probably must have forgotten to tell her something. But i wasn't her, It was Alessio. She rolled my eyes answering the phone. "Yes?" Laure was sure he could clearly hear the irritation in her voice. "Good morning, Lauren." Why does he have to sound so cheerful every damn day. "Good morning, to you too, Alessio." She haven't put any effort to sound polite because she was still mad at him.Hope he gets the message. "Have you seen the news?" "Yes, I have." she really didn't want to speak about that with him or about anything else. Lauren heard his laughter over the phone and it pissed her off."What is so funny?" If she could spit fire through cell phone she would set him on fire right now and watch him burn. "Nothing." and he laughed again. Was that female laughter over there too? Jerk! "Oh, f**k you." Lauren said hanging up the phone. Hope he dies from laughter with his little w***e. He think he can humiliate her and do whatever he wants just because she signed that stupid contract. She is the one who is giving up on more. The anger overwhelmed her because she felt a sting of jealousy through her heart , it made her dizzy. *** By the time Alessio arrived to pick her up she was ready. Lauren was putting on her earrings when she heard the knock on the door. "Come in." She needs few more minutes so he will have to wait. Sorry not sorry. Her smile of satisfaction was erased from her face when she saw him in the mirror leaning against the door. "You scared me." Lauren glanced at him trying to calm her fast beatings. He pushed himself from the door slowly approaching her. He stopped behind Lauren looking her in the mirror. "I think you need help with zipping up your dress." Oh s**t, she forgot about that. The zipper was opened all the way to her butt, she was sure he could see her underwear also, and honestly she could use a help zipping it up. He didn't wait for her response. His fingers touched gently the skin of her back before taking the zipper and pulling it up slowly, burning her skin with his touch. Lauren holds her breath because she was afraid she would let moan out If she catches some air. When he reached near the end he moved her hair from her neck and zipped till the end. That was too much for Lauren. "Thank you." Lauren murmured before she moved away from him." I am ready now, we can go." "Sure." he followed her to the door not showing any kind of emotion. Alessio was dressed as always, black pants and white shirt. Lauren knows how he looks underneath it and that made her blushing. He was quite breathtaking sight yesterday at the pool. His tall, muscular physique turned her legs into jelly and raced her heartbeats. She never thought that she has a type, but know she knows she does have one. Tall, dark haired, muscular man that burns your skin with his blue gaze. That's the one. "If you agree we can go first to arrange date and time for our wedding. Decorator will be waiting for us at my house, we'll be heading there after scheduling the date." Alessio was speaking to her while he turned on the engine of the car. "That works fine for me, thank you for asking." She wasn't ironic, she was grateful he can't read minds. * 35 years ago * "You have to kill him." He grabbed her by her shoulders. "I can't, you don't understand." She said sobbing. " I do understand, but you have to do that or he is going to kill us both when he finds out." His hug gave her a bit of comfort and strength at that moment. "Look at me," he embraced her face with his hands," I brought you the poison. They won't be able to discover it in his body. Do you trust me, love?" She nodded hugging him. She prayed in her thoughts, asking god to forgive her and to protect her unborn child. He must not find out about her pregnancy, not yet. He might not accept the baby since the father is her husband. The night came quickly and she poured some of the poison in her husband's dinner. He was suppose to die in his sleep. And that's how it was. There was no return, no going back. This is it. Now they can start their life together.
