Chapter 27 – Revolutionaries
Annora took a swig of her beer and then slammed the bottle down on the table. A few drops splashed out. She glared at everything and nothing, but all she saw in her mind's eye was Dale Kinmont.
The regulars in The Tunnel Rat had picked up on her mood and maintained a healthy distance.
She had set foot on Mercury specifically to help Dale find his uncle. And then he had the nerve to run off and sneak into the prison without her. He apparently thought he didn't need her help anymore. Which, of course, was ludicrous. He had a broken hand, a broken nose, a scrape from a gunshot, and a nasty gash in his side. He was a walking trauma ward.
To make matters worse, her i***t brother was with him. She loved Cole, and had been devastated when he was sentenced to Mercu
