The Mutant Team

“Please, consider our situation. It’s hard to trust that a Zodiac son has turned against his family, as far as the world knows, those super-humans never go against each other.” The President said.

“I am the thirteenth son of Zodiac Family, Deicide Zodiac. Our family comprise of thirteen son and a daughter. Each one of us tremendous power inside us, as the world know, we are the superior race of yours. However, each on of us had to awaken the power inside us. The factor awakening of the power could be anything, by the age of ten, all my brothers had awakened the power, I was the only one left behind. My inability was always considered as my weakness, never was I respected by my family. The elder sons of the family used to bully me, torture me, to awaken my power and at last when they found out that I was not a useful being they teleported me to other world. Three years, three years of being alone, three years among the beasts, three years longing for home, my brothers were the strongest but never even once they came looking for me.” Deicide paused and looked at the president, “Now, that I have awakened my power, I want to make them repent, repent for the things they have done to me.” Deicide stopped. There were moments of silence after that.

“We are willing to help you, however we have already lost a huge force in taking out your brothers.” The President replied.

“I don’t seek huge force, the current difference between me and the twelfth son, Dionysius, is 30%. I am just in seek of that 30%, once I get hold of it, I will manage my way to kill each one of them, even Zeus himself.” Deicide replied. The president and the other two members talked among them, after a bit chitchatting, the President turned towards Deicide.

“What do you plan to do after destroying the empire?” The President asked.

“I have nothing to do in this world, I will either get back to my world or live an anonymous life here.” Deicide replied.

“Very well, we are ready to provide you all the support we can. You can take the 30% strength as you want.” The President replied. Deicide smirked as he stood in his chair.

“What? Team up with Zodiac?” Harry asked Andrew.

“Yeah.” Andrew replied.

“You must be kidding me.” Sakura replied. Andrew nodded in denial.

“How the heck do you get a Zodiac on terms?” Chris asked.

“He came from the portal and he says he wants to destroy the entire clan of Zodiac.” Andrew replied.

“He must be a fake.” Jane replied.

“We are going to meet him you people decide about it when he meets you in personal.” Andrew replied.

“What are your views?” Jill asked.

“He is real.” Andrew replied.

The Defence Head, entered the chamber. Andrew bowed before him and so did the others.

“Mutant Team F-8, all of you must have heard from Andrew, what are you going to do now onwards. Your mission is simple, follow the Lab Rats’ order and take out each one of them, and throughout the mission get to know about all the weakness of this new Zodiac and kill him after the task is finished. As you are the most valuable and skilled mutant fighters we have in our reach we have chosen you for the task, accomplish it. Any questions.” The head said. None of them replied. “Fine, we will be there in few minutes.”

Silence occupied the chamber as the Head left. Few minutes passed and the van stopped at the Artillery and Defence lab. The mutant team stepped out of the van, they were in the formal uniform of the WPMO defence unit.

“I am not getting a good vibe out of it.” Chris said.

“You always get the same vibe every time before work.” Jill replied. Every one smiled and walked inside the quarters, they were taken to a practice arena where Deicide was waiting for them.

The Mutant Squad stood before Deicide. Deicide observed them. Andrew interrupted his observation.

“These are the most refined mutants in our forces.” Andrew said. As soon as Andrew finished Chris stepped forward for his introduction. Deicide raised his hand and stopped him.

“Let us keep the introduction aside. I know you people won’t be happy to work with me so am I. Let’s play a game to make us aware about each other.” Deicide said, Andrew swallowed the lump in his throat.

“The rules are simple, all of you will fight me together. One against five, if you win it will be your choice to stay or leave, if I win,” Deicide gave the team a sharp look, “one of you will die. The choice will be yours about whom to kill.” Deicide added.

“Tch, all this time I was worried about holding my anger back for a Lab Rat, i guess you chose it for you, Fake.” Harry taunted moving his shoulders.

“Harry don’t be hasty.” Jane said.

Harry rushed towards Deicide, “Let me show you the power of steel.” Harry punched straight towards Deicide, Deicide caught his punch with one hand. A wave of surprise spread in the hall.

“Steel, huh. So you can harden your skin to steel, interesting.” Deicide said, blocking the other punch of Harry.

“Be careful you stupid.” Sakura said pulling him.

“I see, ability to move things without touching.” Deicide said. Sakura tried to control Deicide but he rushed towards her without any effect.

“He is obliterating me. I can’t control him.” Sakura said. Deicide punched towards her but Harry blocked his punched, Harry slipped for a meter with the impact.

Suddenly, Chris appeared from the left side, he was super fast but Deicide dodged his kick easily. Deicide jumped at a safe distance.

“Let me ease this game for you. If my blood falls on the ground you win but that must be in ten minutes from now, off course I will be going easy on you.” Deicide said. Deicide dodged the spear, the spear took a lump of his hair. “Ooh, that was close.”

Chris and Harry rushed towards him, Sakura assisted them from the back. Deicide easily dodged the strikes of the offence, Sakura tried her best to land a blow but Deicide movements were fast for her. After a few dodges, Deicide punched Chris in mid -air, Chris landed straight on Sakura.

“You guys can’t take me up unless you team up with the other three.” Deicide said.

“Huh, it over for you.” Harry said pointing the circle Deicide was standing in. Suddenly, huge amount of electricity passed through Deicide, smoke spread in the surrounding.

“You even didn’t need all of us.” Harry said.

“Don’t boast about the thing you haven’t done.” Jill said appearing from the rear, “Are you guys fine?” Jill asked picking up Sakura.

“You let your guard down.” Deicide said as he appeared near Harry, Deicide threw a punch at him but suddenly he disappeared and a spear appeared in his place. The spear broke into pieces.

“What the hell are you holding back? That would have killed me.” Harry shouted from the right.

“Oh sorry, I thought you would strengthen your skin immediately.” Deicide said smiling and caressing his hair. As Deicide said this another spear appeared Deicide dodged it but it tear his shirt.

“Teleportation, huh, nice work, but the time is up.” Deicide said looking at Andrew, who was holding the stopwatch, Andrew nodded.

“He was counting it throughout the battle.” Chris said as Harry supported him to stand.

“You can come out from hiding. It’s already your loss.” Deicide said.

Jane appeared suddenly near her team. Deicide smiled and said, “You can chose one of you to die.”

Jane stepped forward and said, “I will be the one to die. I am the leader and responsible for all the defeats.” All of her teammates looked at her but none of them opposed her idea.

“Huh, leader. Who will lead them after you die?” Deicide asked.

“They will find a way through it, it is their part of punishment.” Jane replied.

“Oh, I see. You are sharing the punishment among them. I like your thinking.” Deicide said as he smiled. “I am Deicide Zodiac, thirteenth son of Zodiac family, I will be looking forward to work with you all. As for todays game we won’t be killing anyone, it was the part of test.” Deicide added.

“Jane, Mutant 1, skill teleportation, squad captain for Special force M482.” Jane introduced herself.

“Sakura, Mutant 2, skill attraction and repulsion, squad vice captain.” Sakura added her part.

“Chris, Mutant 3, skill speed, squad member.” Chris preceded.

“Jill, Mutant 4, skill electricity, squad member.” Jill continued.

“Harry, Mutant 5, skill hardening, squad member.” Harry concluded the introduction.

“I would like to make clear that my only motive is to kill all my brothers, as you all will work with me, I would also tell you he truth that I am weakest of my brothers, there might be circumstances where I won’t be able to protect you, so be aware that this is a matter of death and life, so I want you people to rethink about your decision, no one is going to force you for the task” Deicide said.

“We have been already told about the things and its our decision to take part. Apart from your selfish desire we have been chosen for the nations service.” Jane replied, the rest of her team mates looked at her with awe, Deicide smiled.

“We will soon begin the layout for the beginning for the operation Eclipse.” Deicide said as a determination admired his sight.
