Chapter 4

Zach POV

While dad and Beta Oscar had Blank in the interrogation room questioning him, I went to the security room and ran a deep dive background check.

This is my field of expertise.

I am The C.E.O. of Purity Security Company, one of my businesses.

I’m not an easy man, I don’t trust many, so as you see i’m a protector of the family even though I know that dad and Beta Oscar can detect lies with their abilities. I want to know what he wasn't saying.

I verified that what he’s saying so far is true, and also I ran a check into the hospital of the River Claw Pack to see if his sister was admitted into their hospital as he said, which was also true.

I pulled all the reports and brought them back to the interrogation room handing them to Beta Oscar and left the interrogation room.

While I'm in my office I get a link from Debra [bro I need footage and Dom is on the way with theinfo needed]

link.

Blank POV

While I'm still in the interrogation room with the Alpha and Beta, someone comes in handing papers to the Beta and he goes through them and studies me for a while.

I’m kind of intimidated under the Alpha stare, but then he says ok so your story checks out.

We’ll give you shelter and food. I'll put you up in the warriors packhouse and we'll go from there.

I thanked the Alpha and Beta and they escorted me to my room on the second floor and told me someone will be there to bring me food and changes of clothing.

I was so grateful it brought tears to my eyes to have someone to be so kind. I’ve been

roaming around for nearly 2 months after being kicked out of my pack.

I’m just really worried about my mother and sister.

I go around checking everything out there and there's a closet and a bathroom in here so I go straight to the bathroom and draw a tub of water because the goddess knows I need soap and water.

I see that there’s already towels and other supplies that I would need. I gather everything and start to get ready for my bath when I hear a knock on the door.

I went to answer it but before I got to the door I was hit with an intoxicating aroma.

My breathing is almost gone because as soon as I smelt the aroma of gardenia, lavender, and a hint of cotton candy, it was gone but there beside the door was a tot bag left behind.

Now I have to find the person that belongs to that aroma. My wolf Link is going crazy in my mind, {you have to find that scent and fast.} { I know Link but how about we clean up first, we don’t want our mate to be disguised with our appearance do you} Link whimper but nods in reply.

Could it be that my mate is in this pack? If so, I hope my mate doesn't reject me. I've been through enough already.

Turning around in the room I'm lost in my thoughts, I dropped the tot bag on the ottoman, went into the bathroom, stripped out of my rugs, you can say, because they

were a far cry from clothes.

Turning to the mirror, I run my hand over it to remove the steam misted over the mirror, I reach for the straight razor and shaving cream and lathered up my face, begin the process of becoming a human being again, in which I didn’t feel human at all with all the compacted hair on my head and caked up dirt on my skin.

Hell couldn’t even recognize myself, it was as if I was seeing a horror movie version of myself which had me shook, for a brief moment. LMFAO how much life can affect you, it’s a mystery how so many survive, but strong will is real.

Finishing up with my shave I hop into the tub a soak until the water started to chill, hopping out of the tub to the shower, reaching for my wash cloth and shower gel, I scrubbed all the filth off of my body, rinsing my body under the shower head that fell like a waterfall in a clearing.

After rinsing my body I washed and conditioned my hair.

Once I finished my hair, I reached out the shower and grabbed the dry towel, wrapped it around my waist, then grabbed another towel to dry my hair.

I went to the sink, brushed my teeth and washed my face.

Leaving the bathroom I headed straight to the tot bag sitting on the ottoman and pulled out a pair of clothes, under garments, deodorant, lotion, and tennis shoes. Sitting everything on the bed as I start getting myself lotioned up and dressed.

There’s a knock at the door. I go to

answer as I'm pulling my shirt over my head. I pull the door open and there’s a butler at the door.

Hello Mr. Blank I was tasked to come and let you know that lunch will be served in 5 minutes.

So, if you’re ready now I can take you down to the dining hall. I nodded my head at the butler, while informing him to give me a few seconds to get my shoes on and then we can head out.

I stepped back into the room and sat down on the ottoman and slipped my shoes on, once tied I stood up and headed to the door where the butler is still standing waiting patiently.

Making a hand gesture saying after you, he nodded and proceeded down the hall to the stair. I noticed that he kept straight to the door, I c****d a brow asking, where were we going?

He then responds with a hand gesture of his own, pointing at this huge mansion styled building, looking up it looks to be about 5 to 6 stories high.

Damn, was the only thing that came out of my mouth at that moment.

As we walked over to this huge mansion, looking around, I've never been to a place that looks so wealthy and extraordinary.

As we got closer to the double doors of the Main packhouse, my stomach growled so loudly, the butler looked over his shoulder at me with raised brows, smirking…

Seems someone needs food, don’t worry we have plenty, as he was saying this to me he was also opening the double doors.

As we walked inside, Alpha and Beta were coming down the stairs, Alpha Zhyayre greeted me first then Beta Oscar both with a hand shake.

So, Blank, how are your accommodations going? Was everything to your liking and did you receive your essentials to your room?

I smiled and in turn I shook both of their hands in return.

Link interrupts my thoughts {The room was everything that I took for granted, you never know what you have til it’s gone} { I feel the same way buddy}.

All is well on my end Alpha Zhyayre, I feel like a new man. Looking at both men nods their approval to my statement, bringing gratitude in my spirit.

As we’re talking we walk into the dining area and my stomach growls again but this time louder, Beta Oscar was standing next to me, he clasped my shoulder with his hand and said to me, this way Blank we can’t have our guest starving now can we!!!!!

Beta Oscar walked me to the buffet styled table, we got our eating ware and then went to the land where other members are standing waiting to get their food, Beta told me to fill up and yes I did just that.

Im looking at the table with so many selections, There’s Sliders, Bacon wraps,

Finger Sandwiches, Loaded Mac and Cheese, Twice Baked Potato, Salad, Fruit Trays, Vege Trays, Fried chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Fried Rice, White Rice, Zucchine, Squash, Meatballs etc.

The snack table is full of goodies, there’s Water, Tea Hot or Cold, Coffee, Juices, Beers etc.

I’m starving so NO I have no shame in the way everyone perceives me as of right now. I'm a hungry man on a mission, and the only way to deal with this is to feed myself, before my body starts to feed on its own flesh, SMH (TWD) The Walking Dead, Hell I might just turn into a zombie if this food doesn't get in my stomach now…

With that thought in mind, I gathered all my

food and went to the first table I saw, getting ready to place my food down the Beta stops me, nodding his head for me to follow him, we arrived at the rank table, Beta offers me a seat, I take the seat and thanked everyone and dove directly into my food with prejudice.Now that I'm finished eating.

I need a place to burn off all these carbs and calories. My first thought was the track but then I thought the gym would be a better fit for the time being.

I still can’t walk around freely but no worries, time changes every situation and mind.

Before we could actually leave the Main pack house, I stepped up to Alpha Zhyayre for his approval.

Alpha Can I ask for a favor for myself?

Alpha nods, signaling me to proceed with my inquiries, well Alpha I was just wondering if by chance I could use your gym facilities?

Beta POV

After lunch in the dining hall Blank asked about going to the gym so Alpha and I walked Blank to our fitness facility.

State of the art equipment with an indoor / outdoor pool area and jacuzzi.

We went into the changing room/ locker room and changed into gym clothes and I handed Blank a change of clothes, he thanked me and turned towards the stalls to change.

When he came out we all entered the gym.

I hopped on the treadmill next to Blank while Alpha went straight to bench pressing.

During our workout session we work on a couple of brain scheming ideals that we could pull off for our upcoming event in the next 3 weeks.

Alpha then asked me about the situation with the kids from earlier. I told him that the parents of all the pups involved would be coming to the packhouse conference room once everyone is off work or off duty.

He nods and then we chat more about different things that've been going on

around or in packlands.

Alpha goes over to the pull up bars after he finishes his reaps with bench pressing. We

exercised in silence until Blank asked a question that puzzled us both.

Can I ask who was the young lady that brought me the tot bag of essentials?

Both men's heads wiped in my direction.

I don't know if I said the wrong thing, asked the wrong question or even disrespected someone I shouldn’t have.

There was silence for a while until a throat cleared and I lifted my head to Beta Oscar questioning eyes.
