Chapter 5: Levy and Jada

Debra POV

Growing up in the Purple Paw Pack was an amazing experience, when growing up in a pack, I grew up knowing my family was a pack of wolves. I love riding on the back of my dads Alpha Wolf [Katonda].

He has always been an amazing father and Alpha, he’s a fair man and Alpha, he treats

everyone with the respect and loyalty he wants them to show him.

Disrespect and Disloyalty are the top 2 things that are not accepted in the Purple Paw Pack.

My father gave all his children equal love and time, 2 things that were priceless.

He was and still is a sticklore for education, he would push us to go further and achieve our goals and think beyond those goals to push further.

So me being who I am, being an over achiever, I didn’t just stop my education with just settling just to stay a RN (Registered Nurse) I kept going, I’m in my last year of med school in my residence at Thibodaux General Hospital, it’s out of the packs territory but also gives me more

knowledge and experience dealing with issues wolves don’t have like humans.

Don’t get me wrong, this type of training also helps me with wolves also, for example I’ve learned how to mend muscles, tissues, nerves, and bones back into place.

That way a person can have a better chance at life than being helpless in their condition.

I’ve always wanted to work in the medical field. My goal is to be a doctor in the ER (emergency room).

My love for staying busy was due to the loss of my fated mate Dr. Tone Black, Tone was a loving and doting husband and father to my 2 pups Zetta and Semaj.

We may have busy schedules, but making time for the family was a given.

We were together for 12 years before his death.

He was coming home from a conference he attended in California, once he made it the the airport in New Orleans, Louisiana he called to tell me he landed and was heading to his car heading home, so I know that was going to be about 2 hours or so that I had to make sure I was done for the day with me patients and charting.

By the time I clocked out leaving the hospital I got the most excruciating pain in my chest and feeling the bond snap was something that I never expected to feel for many more years.

I was devastated for years until I came through the other side of pain and found the love that I needed to survive in my children and that’s where my motivation came from to keep pushing.

My love was taken from me in an accident on highway 10 in a pile up on the interstate. K.O.S. Killed On Scene.

By a driver that couldn’t keep their eyes on the road and not their phone or whatever that took their attention from the road to crash into my husband's car full speed with no braking at all.

I’ma stop there because I don’t want to start crying or spiraling.

While I was in the Packhouse dad linked me [ hey dad what’s going on you need something]

[yes honey, I need you to take Blank some clothes to his room in the warriors packhouse]

[okay dad im on it] [thanks honey]

[no problem love ya] [ love ya too] closing the link.

Now I'm headed to the utility closet where all extras are kept. I forgot to ask what size was needed since I haven't met the visitor, so I opened up the link to Beta Oscar [ beta by chance do you know what size our guest needs in clothing] [deb he looks to be the size of Zach] [ ok thanks I got it from here].

As I'm rummaging through the clothes I find the size I'm looking for and also find at least 4 more changes of clothing, socks, shoes, underwear, and muscle shirts. I find a tot bag and place everything inside.

Heading to the warriors packhouse, as I step inside I'm hit with an amora and I know what that means. My wolf started pacing around wagging her tail, I tried calming her down before she gave me a headache.

{Sheba you really need to get a handle on your emotions baby girl you seem a lil thirsty}.

Sheba scoffs and whimpers { I want mate you know that Moon paired us with a second chance mate} I shake my head at this {Moon may have done just that, but regardless i’m not ready} Sheba wince at my statement {I know Deb but could we at less met mate} UGH she just want stop with the wining and pacing around, {okay Sheba let’s make a plan together later and come to an agreement} she scoffs and nod {fine} now I cut the link and focus on what im doing.

Making my way through the courtyard to the warriors packhouse, as I walk up the stairs to the front door I’m greeted by many warriors.

I nod as I pass by each member and make my way up the stairs to the second floor last door to the right.

The aroma gets much stronger as I get closer to the door of the guest. I'm hit with the aroma of Spearmint Musk with an earthy scent.

I quickly knock on the door. I don't hear any movement or noise so I place the tot bag on the stand by the door and leave.

{Deb please go to mate he needs us, mate needs us} I ignore my wolf and keep walking pushing my wolf to the back. Sheba whimpers, as she fades away.

At this time I see a young pup fall and scrapes his knees, hands, and chin. I go to the pup and check on him and as I'm checking the pup I notice warrior Dom passing, so I stand and greet Dom and ask him to help bring the pup to the Main packhouse where I can see after the pups

wounds.

While walking to the packhouse Dom is chatting with the pup and tells him about his job and duties as a warrior. The pup is calming down as Dom chats with him and also getting basic info from the pup also.

Why you may ask, simply this pup is a newcomer and we’ll have to find his mom.

Once we got the info and were able to find out who the pup parents are we were able to link the grandparents of the pup to contact the parent.

Learning the pup's name is Levy and mom Jada I started thinking, that pup has familiar feathers, he looks like my high school friend Jada Stone.

So, now I'm kneeling down in front of Levy as I'm asking him where it hurts, he points at his knees, palms, and chin. As I'm getting to work on Levy’s cuts and bruises, I introduce myself, I’m Dr. Debra Black, Levy, you're such a big pup to help me figure out how to help you.

Levy smiles and nods his head, with understanding.
