Chapter 7: cont.

My eyes are as wide as a saucer, I ask, so what does this mean? The old lady grabs my hand and squeezes it gently asking, Who directed you to come here this evening?

I look at the man and tell him the woman from the ma and pa store 2 miles in town.

Then the old lady tells me in the morning to go back to the store and seek the woman that directed me there, and I did just that still with no answers, only more questions.

The next morning I'm up as the sun is rising in the sky, I get up, go to the bathroom and clean up and put on some fresh clothes.

Heading downstairs for breakfast and coffee before I get my day started on the search for answers to all the questions bubbling in my head.

The old couple are already in the kitchen by the time I make it down stairs, I greet them from the kitchen door as I’m walking to the counter to pour a cup of coffee.

I set at the table and the old lady places a plate in front of me filled with Grits with butter and Eggs, Bacon and Biscuits with a side of Gravy.

My mouth watered at the food and I went to town. It was one of the most delicious breakfast I’ve had in years.

After eating my breakfast and drinking my coffee I cleaned my dishes and left to

head back to the shop to find the woman from the day before.

Stepping into the shop i’m greeted by the woman from the other day. Huh, he actually came back, did you have some help to get you to come back to see me today?

I looked at the woman and noticed that she looked just like the woman from the photo.

I frown, looking up into her eyes asking if you knew who I was, why not tell me?

Instead you sent me away just to come back here for what?

The woman then introduced herself. My name is Lilith, I was enslaved as a child in the Delaney Clan where they did despicable things.

The Masta at the time was in debt to the bank and the bank was ready to take their land so the Head of the Delaney Family decided that he was going to go into slave trading.

Mr. Delaney was a proud man, He wouldn’t stand for someone to come and take anything from him without a fight.

He came up with the idea of trading borns. They had a higher profit at the slave auctions even more if they were mixed. He went as far as sending them cross seas to

Europe, Italy, etc.

Some came back to the states as children knowing different languages, both speaking and writing.

At that time it was against the law for colors to read and write. It was all just profit to Mr.Delaney to keep his farm and land as is, in the Delaney Family.

Now looking at this woman I asked, what does this have to do with me? Shaking her head she walks over to the counter and pours herself a glass of tea.

She asks, if I wanted a glass I nodded my head in approval.She comes back over to the table, hands me my glass before sitting in the chair she was previously in.

This my child is the story of how you became who and what you are today.

Who you are is simple, you are my son. The son I thought I would never see in this life again.

A son that was taken from me at the tender age of one month, to be cared for by someone else, to be taught by someone else, and to be raised by someone else.

The photo that was shown to you was the last day I held you in my arms, the last day I saw you until now.

The moment you walked into my store I knew you were my son. The reason for me

sending you to the B&B is because I knew what I had to tell you was going to be too much to handle so I sent you to your grandparents house.

Third person POV

Thomas has now realized that he now has found half of his family still having questions but he uses the tools he had mastered as a child and listens to everything before responding to anything.

Searching for the truth is as easy as listening.

Thomas then asked the woman who apparently is his mother. What’s her name again?

She responded with a chuckle, saying my apologies, my name is Lilith Rivers.

This shocks Thomas to hear that his mother's last name and his are the same.

Lilith stands and goes to Thomas, wanting to hug her son but she doesn’t feel like he would allow that kind of affection from her.

Thomas also wanted nothing but to hold his mother in his arms and never let go, but he shook the feeling out and drank the tea that his mother offered him.

As Alpha Thomas continues to tell his family, the secret he’s been holding on too…..

Back in the Purple Paw Pack it’s getting about that time for the parents and pups meeting.

Gamma Torey handling all of the meeting arrangements and snacks, she goes and meets up with Debra and sees how she's been handling everything else.

Those two women together are a powerhouse, so naturally they bonded as sisters.

Now that the meeting is on the way all of the parents and pups are leaving their homes heading to the Main Pack House where the meeting will take place.

Meanwhile, in the cellars still holding the prisoner that was spying on the territory, Beta Oscar and Delta Jada walk through the pack house heading down to the cellar to question the prisoner.

As they head down they pass through the kitchen and see Izzy and his men talking

about the man they found spying on the territory.

So the Delta Jada asked if they could tell them a little about what they found while hunting the spy guy down.

What type of clues did he leavebehind and did they send any electronics devices to Zach for inspection.

They nodded their heads. Letting the Beta and Delta know that everything has been square away.
