Cassio touched her chin and walked slowly down the Imperial Capital. Despite the fact that she already had the idea, it was not that easy.
She didn't know how to fake her identity. After all, creating a new identity is not as easy as turning your palm.
Cassio lowered her head, trying to find a way. When she is lost in her thoughts, she seems to be in her own world, away from the crowd. As a result, Cassio does not notice that someone is carrying fruit in front of her. A collision between the two is inevitable.
Though not loud, it was enough to make both of them take a step back. The fruits in the person's hands fell and rolled on the ground.
"I'm sorry!" Cassio reacted quickly to her mistake and picked up the scattered fruits.
"No, it's okay," came the calm reply. Out of the corner of Cassio's eye, she saw the man bow and pick his own fruit.
It was not long before the fruit was back in its owner's arms.
Once again, Cassio bowed and apologized. She vowed not to get lost in thought on the road.
"It's okay, I'm not hurt anyway," he replied in a relaxed tone.
Slowly, Cassio looked up and saw the face of a young man with a somewhat disheveled appearance in front of her. The man's brown hair was tousled as if by a strong wind. The lazy smile on his lips showed that his youthful appearance had not faded. Anyone who saw the man's appearance could guess that he had a somewhat arrogant but warm nature.
His piercing brown eyes glanced at Cassio, who watched his appearance carefully. The slowness sounds melancholy. "You must be fascinated by my appearance, right?"
Cassio did not react immediately. It was only two seconds later that she turned her face away and coughed in shame.
Actually, the face of the man in front of her could not be called handsome, nor could it be called ugly. However, the aura that this man possessed was impressive.
Feeling that there was no more business between them, Cassio intended to leave and continue her thoughts. Just as she was about to say goodbye, the man's voice sounded again and stopped her. This time, her entire body was stunned by the words.
"Wait, I think I've seen you somewhere before. Oh, right, aren't you the noble princess-"
Before the man could finish his sentence, Cassio immediately clamped his mouth tightly shut, stopping all his words. It doesn't matter if the man knows her identity. After all, she also once appeared in public. So it is not surprising if there are one or two people who feel familiar with her face.
However, the reason she covered his mouth in front of her was because his voice was too loud. She believes that a man's voice can attract the attention of the people around them. And it would be very inconvenient for her.
"Lower your voice!" Cassio warned through clenched teeth. After making sure the man wouldn't make a fuss, Cassio let go of her hand.
Compared to Cassio's depressed face, the man's expression was much more relaxed. He even tilted his head slightly and smiled playfully, as if what had just happened was entertainment for him.
Cassio let out a sigh. She looked at the innocent face and decided, "Come with me!"
She had to make sure that the man before her was not from Midmere and had not heard the news of her leaving.
Cassio pushed him into a narrow alleyway, away from the crowd. She stood with her arms crossed as she looked at the man suspiciously. "Have we ever met in person?" She asked without hesitation.
The man leaned casually against the wall. He intended to put his hand in his pocket but stopped when he remembered the fruits that filled his hand.
His brown eyes blinked in confusion at Cassio's question. "How could a commoner like me meet a noble princess like you in person? Oh, but now it seems that my dream has come true. I have met you in person and can even touch you."
Cassio's brow furrowed in disgust at the last sentence. It seems her worries were in vain. She only met a perverted delinquent guy.
"By the way, you looked very worried when I found out your identity," the man chirped suddenly. His thick eyebrows were raised seductively. "Did you run away from your palace?"
Cassio almost choked to hear him speak, her eyes glaring coldly. Damn, this guy always guesses right.
The man was also surprised by Cassio's reaction. He hadn't thought that his playful guess was the truth. Hesitantly, he still continued, "Then the reason you ran away was to follow the Imperial Cavalry...?"
This time Cassio did not react, she spat out two words sharply, "Continue your guessing."
Hearing the hidden threat behind Cassio's voice, the man finally closed his mouth. He also wanted to raise both hands as a sign of surrender, but to no avail. "Suppose I didn't say anything."
Cassio didn't want to waste any more of her time either. She turned around and prepared to leave, feeling that there was nothing to worry about if only the bright voice behind her would stop.
"You seem to be in trouble? Perhaps I can help you with something."
Cassio's eyes narrowed suspiciously. They were just two strangers who happened to be passing each other. So what is this guy up to?
As if he could read Cassio's mind, the man refused, "I didn't intend anything bad. I just purely want to help you." A bright smile appeared on his face, trying to dispel any suspicion.
Unfortunately, such a smile had no effect on Cassio, who had seen it many times before. She thought for a moment before deciding to say it.
After all, if the person in front of her suddenly did something unexpected, she could knock him down with a single blow. She was also in a fortunate situation because of the man's limited mobility.
Cassio briefly explained her silent departure to follow the Cavalry and her plan to create a new identity.
After hearing Cassio's explanation, the man tilted his head slightly and replied, "So you don't want your identity to be known? Oh, that's right, the regulations in the Imperial Cavalry were tightened even further after the incident."
Cassio took an apple from the man's arms and bit into it indifferently. "That's it. And as you said, I ran away to follow the Imperial Cavalry. My struggle would have been in vain if my family had known as soon as I joined the Cavalry."
"That's true, it would be a great waste of your talent. In that case, perhaps I can help you create a new identity," the man said confidently, as if creating a new identity were a simple matter for him.
Cassio suddenly turned to him with a frown. But the man's grin didn't seem to give her a chance to hesitate.
"My uncle is very good at it. How about that?"
Although there was still a sense of suspicion towards that man, it would be a shame if Cassio turned down the opportunity before her eyes. Her eyes were filled with determination, and she nodded firmly, "Then I'll count on you."
The man laughed softly in response. Then, remembering something, he continued, "It is so disrespectful that I know who you are, but you don't know me."
A strong hand held the fruits, while the other hand took an apple. He handed it over directly to Cassio, who had taken one earlier. "My name is Archiless Gardellioner. Call me as you wish."
One of Cassio's eyebrows raised interest in his introduction. She took the apple Archiless handed her and thought for a moment before following his actions.
She dried her head slightly and a small smile appeared on her face, showing elegance and gentleness. "Then I will also introduce myself respectfully. My name is Cassio Genevieve Marquesse. Please call me Cassio." Her eyes narrowed. "Also, please help me, Mr. Arch."
