BRYN It was a good thing that Amira was with me and that Len was waiting for us with a wagon that he stole to try and get the witches out. Because I was a mess. Whatever I did, I couldn’t concentrate in spite of us being in a deadly situation.   “Bryn,” Amira said after a while, “You need to come back.”   I looked at her through my daze and she rolled her eyes.   “We got it from here,” my friend insisted, “Now we have a group of witches with active powers. We’ll manage and you need to come back and make sure that everything is fine there. Someone might check on you…”   I knew what she meant but I still paused for a second.
