Prologue

I waited and waited in the darkness of his room but he wasn’t arriving. That damn werewolf had better come and do this girl here that very moment! Or else! I really did not want to spend the night in his bedroom. I was about to fall asleep in this stupid chair when I heard them. Steps that were stopping from time to time. I was sure they were making out right there. Oh, Alistair, he was still too daring since my room was not that far from his. Finally, the door opened and I noticed how he at least tried not to make noise, dragging the already moaning girl into the room, trying to hush her with his hand on her mouth, and closing the door quietly. Awww, that was sweet. Somebody did not want to be caught by his fiancee. Too bad I was already here! I tensed, making sure that I blocked all possible scents of my body. I needed him to actually be doing something to work with it. And before that, I had to be hidden properly. “Alpha!” the girl panted, “I want you so much! I’ve been waiting the whole month for this!” “What are you talking about, Stacy,” he groaned, “You were in my bed just a few days ago.” “No, she pouted her lips, “That was my sister, Tracy. And I am Lacy!” “Oh,” he mumbled, but it was obvious that he didn’t really care. I kind of got him. Lacy, Tracy, Stacy…at least he was close and didn't call her Monica. He tore her corset in two and her breasts popped out. Very nice, D-cup at least. But he didn’t seem to care much as he started peeling off his own clothes. And my oh my, was he built well! I hated this about werewolves. All of them looked like ancient gods. That didn’t seem fair to me. Alistair, however, was the finest specimen of his species. He got rid of his pants and stepped into the moonlight. Damn! For a few seconds, I even forgot why I was here. But luckily Stacy-Tracy-Lacy was there to remind me. “Give it to me, Alpha! I need it so badly!” she moaned loudly and that did not sound natural at all. I was even a bit disappointed. He looked so good and there she was... faking it. Such a waste of a… “From now I don’t want to hear a word from you,” he growled, and she got quiet. Understandable, really. Lacy/Tracy didn't have the most pleasant voice. He towered on top of her and slammed his lips while grabbing her breasts roughly. It looked like he was about to start the deed and I decided that it was enough. For some reason, I didn’t like all this. It was…painful to watch. “Ryn!” he growled loudly all of a sudden and I choked on the air itself. Why did he call my name at a moment like that? “What?” gasped the girl under him. “What?” I echoed her and they both stilled. Oh, crap! Did I say that out loud?! “Eiryn?” he turned and located me within seconds as I quickly took away my spell. There was no reason to try and hide anymore since I had already gotten caught... Oh, well. There wasn't a situation I couldn't get out of! So, I stood up with a perfect smile on my face... What happens when a witch, who is a master of illusions is sent to play the role of the fiancee of a fearsome Alpha Prince with the sole purpose of breaking their engagement, but the prince has the task of keeping his bride by his side at all costs? Her freedom depends on the mission's success and his life depends on that marriage. And this means war. But what do they do when they actually start to like each other in this deadly trap?
