Chapter 4

I let out a heavy sigh before I entered the office of my father. I raised my hand and began to knock. "Father!" "You may enter," he said. I walked towards where my father was busy doing a pile of work. "Why didnt you meet the Emperor"? He asked without glancing at me. "I... I was not feeling well at that time," I answered. He paused for a second and eventually continued scribbling. "You should meet the emperor tomorrow." "I... I understand father." she answered. I left his office. I was going back to my room when I saw my brother standing on one of the pillars in the hallway. He approached me and started messing with my hair. "Ugh brother!" she said while frowning. After he messed with my hair, he walked away from me and stopped without looking back. "Dont worry too much about what your father says. I will talk to him. " He left without letting me respond to his words. I smile and whisper thank you brother. As I enter my room, I go directly to my bed and lie on it. I looked up at the ceiling and let out a sigh. This isn't my home. I came back from the dead. And my new life is full of wealth and comfort. It would've been perfect if Eliza Alkim was a normal person. But this is a world in a novel. I was about to close my eyes and sleep when I remembered I was going to meet Helion tomorrow. I woke up with a depressed look on my face. " My lady! I brought you a dress that the duchess chose for you to wear. " "Come in." She got up from bed and the maid assisted her in bathing. After she bathes, the maid helps her to wear a corset. Eliza was wearing a twirled down into shocks of midnight blue, whispering silver hiding amongst the indigo; stars peeping through the broken slits of her sky dress. Also, she was wearing dazzling silver earrings. A dark blue curled choker with a blue rose in the middle. And a blood-colored pair of shoes with a ribbon tied up in the back. Her hair is braided with a white flower on every strand. This dress is really beautiful. I wonder if this really suits the event. I whispered. The maid left to call the coachman to prepare the carriage. I was left in my room sitting in a chair in front of a mirror as I let out a sigh. I raise my arm and clench my fist. I can do this! I utter. "My lady, the carriage is ready." I nodded in response to her. An hour passed and still she was ridding the carriage.Eliza had already visited the kingdom since she was a child. Her father brought her to introduce her to the previous emperor, Helion, his father. "We arrived, my lady." I fixed my dress and walked out of the carriage. As I look up, I see the lavishness of the kingdom. It is more than I expected from what I read in the novel. The red flag symbolizes the Altus with a symbol of two lions. As I entered the castle, hundreds of servants were lined up in the hallway. They bow to me in respect. A knight approached me as he bowed his head. "My lady, I am Nicholas Wynknight." "It is an honor to meet you, Sir Nicholas." He nodded his head in response. "This way, my lady the emperor is waiting for you." I followed him as he said, and when we arrived, he opened the door and I saw a tall man standing near the window. "Your majesty, the daughter of Duke Henry, is here." "You may leave." He bowed his head before he left. "It is an honor to your majesty." I bow my head to pay respect. He turned and was already facing me. Jet black hair and red bedroom eyes. He is so good looking. "Lady Eliza of the House of Alkim? " "Yes, your highness, but you can just call me Eliza." What? He answered with a confused look. "Oh, it's nothing your majesty." I smiled. "When do you want to get married?"
