Just in time, Herrick rushed in followed by Josh and Stella. ‘I’ve got you!’ Herrick said, holding her and sitting her down on the cushion ‘I’ve got you baby.’ She screamed again, Herrick released her and held her hand ‘Breath in and out, baby.’ He said calmly ‘I know you can do this, you are stronger than anybody I know.’ She nodded frantically, her hand tighten on his, he thought his hand was going to break. He didn’t care, he could imagine the pain she was going through. The door busted open as the midwife and Mrs. Rose entered. ‘Get her to the bedroom.’ The midwife said to Herrick with a no nonsense tone, then she turned to Mrs. Rose ‘Get those things I told you on our way here.’ ‘Okay!’ Mrs. Rose said as she rushed upstairs, Herrick helped Cathie up and carried her upstairs. It was barely two hours later when they heard the soft cries of a baby behind the closed door. ‘it’s a baby girl!’ they heard Mrs. Rose scream. The door pushed opened, the midwife walked out wiping her hands and forehead with a towel. She smiled at Herrick. ‘Everything’s alright?’ Herrick asked She nodded ‘Congrats.’ She said ‘both baby and Mama are safe and healthy.’ Herrick sighed with relief, he wiped his dry lips with his hands and smiled, really smiled ‘I cant thank you enough.’ ‘I work for my money.’ She said warmly at him. Josh hugged hid brother ‘I was really afraid for a moment.’ Herrick said ‘Me too.’ Josh said *** Two months after Gabriella was born, drought set in, some sheep and cattle thinned, but many maintained their state, few died. And the maintenance became high. The drought continued for two years, when it finally ended, things slowly went back to normal, the herds begin to grow again. Cathie got pregnant again and gave birth to a baby boy, they named him David. Josh finally proposed to Stella, No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t imagine his life with another woman, somewhere along the line he had fallen for her, Hard. They got married In April at the same church Herrick and Cathie got married, but there was cozy. They held the reception at the ranch. When left for their honeymoon, Cathie told Herrick she wanted to build a house on the other side of the ranch for them as a wedding gift. “Would three month be enough?” he had asked “Because that’s how long they would be gone.” “More than enough.” Cathie said thoughtfully. “You think so.” He raise his brow “Money can do anything,” Cathie said smiling sheepishly; she threw her hands around her husband’s neck “almost anything.” He slide his hands around her waist, and drew her closer and kissed her.
