CHAPTER 56: NICK –––––––– Nick rolled over and groaned. His mouth felt like he’d eaten a towel and his head pounded. He was home, in bed, but he had no idea how he’d gotten here. Last night was a bit of a blur. He got up and went into the bathroom. He turned on the shower and stepped in, letting the cold water snap him awake. He rested one hand against the wall and opened his mouth, drinking the water until it turned warm. He shut his eyes and let it soak into his skin, cleaning out the poisons of the alcohol.
