Captain Ganesh stared through the open door into the minivan at the empty seat. Her confusion lasted for just a second. The realization that she'd been duped crashed into her, igniting her bewilderment into rage. Fury scorched away the last shreds of self-control she had left.
“Find her!” Ganesh stormed toward the stairs. “She's inside. Seal the building. I don't want a single fucker getting out of here!”
She knew her rage was plainly visible, but it didn't matter. For the first time, what others thought, what her subordinates thought, was completely outside of the realm of things she cared about. The only thing that occupied her mind was the need to catch the Scarlet Angel.
When she stepped onto the second floor,
