Third person’s POV The first thing Evelyn did when she woke was place her hands over her stomach, the thought of a baby growing in her overwhelming her. She smiled faintly despite the uncertainty surrounding her and her child. The tiny life growing inside of her was the only reason she found strength to keep moving. "I don't know what tomorrow holds," she whispered, rubbing her stomach. "But I promise I will protect you, I'll never let anyone hurt you the way they hurt me."
