‘What happened to you two?’ Rose asks.
‘The next challenge,’ Mason says, still trying to catch his breath.
‘You just went looking for it. Why are you tired?’ I ask.
‘We ended up actually doing it to see how difficult it would be,’ Crispen answers this time.
‘Judging by the way you two are acting, I think it’s safe to say it was difficult,’ I say, looking at them slowly recovering.
‘We need to figure out how we’re going to get you across because even a wolf will struggle with this one.’ How bad could this challenge really be?
