I couldn’t stop wondering if Crispen was okay. When my father returned, he said they couldn’t find him. While Merrick looked upset by the fact that he was untraceable, my father seemed almost gleeful. We began to leave shortly after and walked home in near silence. All I could think about was where’s Crispen? Where did he go? Did I make a mistake in saying anything about him going off to think? I can’t stop questioning everything that is going on, and I can’t even sneak away to see if he’s okay. I look up and realize I’ve fallen far behind the rest of my pack and have become almost isolated. I am surprised neither my mother nor father even noticed. That’s even more concerning than anything else. He knows something, I don’t know why I feel this way, but I believe it to be true.
