We needed to get to the village, and we needed to get there now. They likely didn’t even know about the fire yet. It wasn’t even close to that part of the forest yet. The only problem was Mason was slow, like human slow. It was no wonder he and Logan managed to show up together. Whatever happened to Mason, it’s done some serious damage. ‘Mason, I need to go ahead and warn my father so that he and the fighters can meet up with the others.’ Mason stopped and agreed that it was probably best that he didn’t come face to face with my father. I think we both know that given a chance, my father would ignore the threat if it meant he could kill him.
