Chapter Six: The r**e

The music blasted from a far, it was a disco matanga. This is the music blasted at the homestead of a deceased during preparation for burial all the way to few days after burial. I looked down on the message. "Come have fun with us," it read. I wasn't accustomed to such, I had never attended or associated myself with such events. I ignored the message. This was a guy I had met a day prior and the deceased was his grandfather. Meeting him was my first mistake. This is what extreme shielding did, it got you to feel the urge to explore and now that I had nothing to do; no studies, no nothing, my idle mind couldn't help but think of useless stuff. Must I say that I had met Bruce briefly again and he talked to me except that he just started ignoring me all over sudden and I would come to know years later that it was because he noticed ne talking to a guy. Little did he know my hate and repulsiveness for the guy as he had tried to get my flower forcibly. One thing I dreaded from my nightmares, I was scared of my male relatives but I found it easy to trust outsiders especially male. I did not need much to go by before feeling safe with them even after several betrayal but who knew at some point I would eventually stop trusting and keep to myself once more like the weakling I was. Constant ringing of my phone got me off my already zoning thoughts. "Come over even for 5minutes," he said. "Alright, come for me I'm scared of the dark," I responded. What could go wrong in just five minutes, that was my first mistake for the night. Let me just go and witness and experience the all thing. I quietly sneaked out and standing by my gate was the guy. We treked to his grandparents place. He thoughtfully introduced me to his sister and got me a chair. We sat back basking the cold and darkness of the night but then it happened so fast. "Oh no, they are going to fight," somebody shouted. The guy, Brian, quickly grabbed me and directed me to a secluded area. Fights were bound to break at a disco matanga. Without taking a breath, the hand grabbed me pushed me back and tried so hard to lift up my skirt. Lucky for me I was wearing a stocking inside my skirt. I sensed danger and started begging to be let off. Brian persisted. " I have to convince him," I thought. "It's open here let's go back to my place and we will do it, " I said. Brian relentlessly agreed to this and escorted me back home. When I got to my gate, I ditched him and rushed back."I'm sorry, that is not me I promise I didn't mean to do that let me talk to you" he sent a text. I must have been very stupid and naive so I let him in. He talked to me so sweetly but the next minute I could not hold on to the pain. He roughed his way up my skirt and into my flower. The pain was too much I struggled as tears brimmed. All I could think of was why? Why did I let him in? After much struggle, I relaxed because struggling only made the pain worse. I cried my heart out, I cried for my stupidity and when he was done he lay by my side for the remaining night and only left early morning before my mom got up. I lay there weak but I needed to be strong. Mom was not to hear of anything. I was a victim of r**e but I invited the r****t in my room willingly. I made the call, the call that would make me even more devastated because Bruce was the only confidant I could think of. "He r***d me," I cried.
