They walked around Hamilton Gardens, Phoenix asleep in the sling with her face pushed against Logan’s broad chest. The warm day brought out the tourists and Hana connected with the English accents around her. She showed Logan the haunts where she took her older children and the bank they sat on each year to watch ‘Shakespeare in the Park.’ Logan talked about the hotel and the section where Reuben’s old house used to stand. “What do you think we should do with it?” he asked. “I think the tapu should stay.”
