“What?” Jas watched the boys in fascination, still holding Hana’s hand. When she didn’t answer, he yanked it to get her attention. “I’d like to play soccer.” He stood up on tiptoes and his gaze strayed towards the boys’ expensive boots. Each wore a different fluro colour. “In shoes like that.” “You could play it here,” Hana replied. She watched one boy nutmeg another and dash away with the ball. He shot at goal but missed. Jas tensed enough for Hana to dart a covert look. “It’s spensive,” he answered. “I’d like to, but Mummy and Daddy won’t ford it.” Hana frowned. “You’re five, Jas.
