Chapter 29 Hana woke to the busyness of a resuscitation room. The overhead lights dazzled her and the sound of unfamiliar voices caused her heart rate to spike. The tone of one voice resonated like a distant memory. “Hana,” he whispered, his accent familiar. “Oh sweetheart, I’m so sorry. I’m so very sorry.” A light touch of his lips on her forehead felt damp and Hana sensed fingers brush across her cheek. Then the voice from her past disappeared as the feeble tendrils of her consciousness reached for it. “Get a line in!” another voice said, sounding rushed and urgent.
