"An abandoned warehouse on the west side of the city," Flynn said, getting straight to the point. "They left two guys watching over the place. They're total small fries. They probably figured there was no need to pull out all the stops just to hold a baby. When I got there, they were hanging around outside, smoking."
He adjusted his jacket, his expression hardening as he recalled the scene. "Once I had the baby safely in my arms, I called up some old buddies from my squad immediately and reported it to the police."
He paused, his gaze sharp as a blade, before continuing, "We caught them red-handed. Combine that with the audio recordings, handwritten notes, and videos you have, plus the previous cases involving Naomi Prescott and Grover Potts, the chain of evidence is rock solid."
