“Thalia.” I called out to her, and she lifted her tear-filled gaze at me. Maybe I knew what those tears meant. Maybe I felt her heart. But still I asked, “why are you crying, Thalia?”
She lowered her gaze and shut her eyes as the tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Can I sit beside you?” I asked. Sniffling, she got up, wiping her tears.
“Please…” she ushered me to sit on the bench.
“Sit with me, please,” I said, and she was about to kneel on the ground when I held her shoulders and shook my head, “no. What are you doing? You are my…”
I stopped. Technically, Virgil and Theo were half brothers, so she is Theo’s half sister. I was his sister in my previous life, but in this life, I was accepted as his sister again. So with that relationship, she was my half sister too. B
