[Irene’s POV]
“Father?” I was happy to see him, yet not hopeful.
He walked closer to us. His eyes fell on Virgil’s and Ryu’s hand in mine and then his glare talked to them. Ryu and Virgil cautiously slid their hand from mine.
Again, men talking with their glares. I don’t really get that language. Strange language.
“Father, why are you here? To stop me?” I asked.
“I tried, but did you listen?” He said in a calm tone.
“Then why are you here?” I wasn’t expecting him to help us through that situation, anyway.
“Before you enter the highest heaven, I want you to go through a test,” he said.
I frowned, “a test? Really? Right now?”
“Yes, right now and until you go through it, I will not let you pass through that portal,” he said.
I inhaled deeply. “Father, you know Zane is in danger,
