[Irene’s POV]
The golden bubble glided through the ocean water like butter. I had to increase my swimming speed considerably to catch up to it.
The ocean water was in vivid shades of blue and the light filtering through it made the most picturesque view I had ever seen. I had been to lakes and ponds and rivers, but something about the ocean was different.
It was grander, more magnificent, and brilliantly dazzling. So much so that I could feel the solemness in every droplet of the ocean.
While I swam after the golden bubble, I looked around and tried to memorise the landmarks, corals, cliffs and stones underwater that could help me come back to the Amare pond.
