"Mark, I need to inform you of something!" As soon as I returned from my office, Ella told me she needed to talk about something, which made me serious.
"Yeah, sure! Let's talk!" I responded while we both sat on the couch. I looked around and guessed Eva was still not home.
"Mark, my office is throwing a big event."
"Ohh, that's great!"
"But I need to go to the U.S. for this event." She sighed.
I know why she's feeling like this. We've just started living, and she needs to leave me.
"So, for how many days will you have to go?" I asked.
"Maybe for a month or more!" She replied. Now I can feel this is long.
"For my work, I need to go there in advance and prepare everything for the events. Many staff will go with us." She explained, and I nodded.
