Chapter Thirteen Eric made half a dozen calls to the admiral and finally spoke with the young woman who served as the admiral’s assistant, stressing the urgency of speaking with the admiral right away. Eric had hesitated because he was well aware that the assistant had been the one to send over the report, but, to the woman’s credit, she wasn’t rude or abrupt.
