"Rose, get the hell up!" yelled the high pitched voice of my older sister, Tyra. She left the room as soon as she entered with a death glare, if looks could kill I'd be dead by now. I got up as soon as she exited and headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and get ready for school. I am glad it's Monday because the weekends are always the worse when I have to clean the whole packhouse by myself and have to endure the constant insults being thrown my way by the pack members or my own family. "I swear one day I will take control and put that b***h right in her place" groaned my wolf, Angel. I always found it funny how her name is Angel, which by the way I didn't name her that she named herself that since she believes she is my Guardian Angel which in a way is actually very true. "Yea, right Angel as if you would actually stand up to her, you're just as afraid of Tyra as I am" I replied back. Angel scoffed but knew what I had said was true. For years I have been the brunt of physical and emotional abuse from everyone but the worse of my abusers has got to be my own blood. I finished dressing myself up, wearing my usual big grey sweatshirt and some black leggings with my Uggs as we live in Northern Alaska, it gets pretty cold easily. My so called older brother, James is at the end of the stairs waiting for atleast I think its me while playing on his phone. "I-I-I'm ready, James" I stuttered, catching his attention. He looks up and instant disgust is apparent on his face. "You actually thought I was waiting for you, what a joke, I'm waiting for Kaitlin" James sneers my way, pushing past me as he spots his mate,Kaitlin. Kaitlin looks me up and down and laughs evilly as she walks or more so pushes past me with James by her side laughing with her. Ever since James found out Kaitlin was his mate when he was 16, 6 years ago, she has always had it out for me, maybe in her sick fermented mind she believes I could be a wedge between my brother's pockets and her. "Well, are you going to hop in the car or are you just going to stand there looking like the ugly b***h you are" yelled James in his red Porsche with Kaitlin snickering besides him. I run into the backseat and repeat apologies after apologies because I know if I don't my head will be on a platter when I get home and the bruises from yesterday's beating are still fresh. James drives off as fast as humanely possible. As we drive the way to school I am lost in my thoughts, hoping school won't be such a bother and that everyone would treat me as a nobody rather than a doormat. But man was I wrong...
