Chapter Seven

Nate

Rayne had fallen asleep and I was just watching her. My God she turned into a beautiful woman! Her skin is so soft, curves are so luscious, hair is so silky. In my dreams she wasn’t as beautiful as she really is! I hope I didn’t rush her too soon. We just found each other this morning and here I go attacking her within the 1st 24 hours. What is wrong with me? I probably need to tell her we can slow down if she would like. I have yearned to find her for so long I just got caught up in claiming her as mine. I really do love her, now I know all those years ago I was really in love no matter what everyone said about being too young. “Oh sweet Rayne” I said out loud “please forgive me for having no self control. I do love and respect you and I never want to be apart from you again!”

In my slumber I heard a voice speaking softly so I opened my eyes to see I was not dreaming, Nate really was here beside me.  Through fuzzy eyes I reached out and touched his cheek. He smiled and said “Hello sleepy head.” And pulled me close to him. “It wasn’t all a dream” I said softly.

“No, I am here with you which is my dream! But we are both awake.” Nate said. 

“I don’t remember you being so sweet” I teased

He tickled my side and kissed my cheek. “I hope you allow me to be sweet to you for a long time. I am sorry I got carried away, I should have been a gentleman and gave you time” he replied

“It takes two to tango and I was ready to dance.” I said “don’t apologize for one of the best afternoons of my life.”

Nate chuckled and nuzzled his nose against the back of my neck. “May I stay until morning my dear?” He asked

“Of course.” I answered

We then crawled under the covers and drifted off to sleep. The best sleep I have ever had feeling safe and warm in his arms.  I never wanted this feeling to fade, ever! 

The alarm clock sounded at 6:00 and I wanted to throw it out the window. I knew Nate needed to get up so he could go to the college and get registered. I didn’t want him to leave. But I did need to work on my sculpture. There is an amateur art show in 4 weeks and if I have 5 pieces ready I can display my art. I have never shared my art with strangers so this is a great opportunity to show my talent! 

“So sorry I have to run dear.” Nate said “Can I see you tonight?” 

“I get off work at 9:30 ish.” I replied

“Meet you here with a pizza?” Nate asked

“Sure” I replied. 

As he reached out the door I felt a sadness. “You will see him tonight Rayne.” I muttered to myself. It is not going to be another 5 years. Now I need to focus on my sculpture. I only have 3 completed so I need to complete 2 more quickly. That should keep my mind off of Nate for a little while.
