DARIO EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO Fidel shows me to a room that I don't recognize. It's not that I hate the room but it's so fancy. I'm not used to this kind of luxury. I'm used to sharing spaces with the rest of the children. Now this is a whole room that fits the size of Miss Miriam's office. The bed is so big. I'm told I'll be the only one sleeping in it. The TV screen is huge enough, which makes me wonder if this is also a theatre apart from being my room. “Do you like the place?” Fidel asks from behind me. “Will I be sharing it with someone else?” I ask. “It's too big.” “Not big enough…we’ll get you a bookshelf and you'll have access to any book you wish to read. “It's not complete yet?”
