-LIAM-
The universe will never stop on surprising you, there's no end for it. Father got me my own car at 18 that's the first surprise I got. Second will be entering my dream university. Third is when one day I woke I was blind at 22. It didn't stop there. Now 25 my parents drop the news just yesterday that they'll be leaving me for two months. Imagine my surprise, I mean I'm never been really alone for the last three years because of my disability. Am I not being punished enough? Though they have reason to which I don't know if they are acceptable, but who leaves their family member in their most vulnerable state? I wouldn't mind it if only I can see, that I can handle in fact I experience living alone and not depending on anyone during my college. My emotions are everywhere, I feel like my heart will explode anytime soon, I'm angry, frustrated, and unhappy.
Knock knock knock! I hear someone at my door "Liam, it's Madison can I come in?" What about no? I thought to myself. I can't believe she's here, apparently mother ask her for a favor to accompany me for the next two months. I didn't understand why her parents would let her. Blind or not I'm still a man probably older than her. I hear my door opening and footsteps coming in invading my room. "You're here, why you didn't answer? I brought you your lunch." she said hearing a soft thud probably putting the tray down "I heard you like pasta so I made Carbonara with Iced tea, it's one of my best so I hope you'll like it." She explains talking to the air. When will she give up? She can just deliver the food put it at the table and leave, simple as that. "Do you need help with your food?" I scoff loud enough for her to hear, "I know I'm blind but I still have two perfectly working hands." I said and can't help but to roll my eyes too. She's only been here for about 5 minutes and I'm already feeling infuriate. And to think I will be leaving with her for two months. "Oh right I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend you, I'll be back when you finished eating. Call me if you need anything." she said still calm and walk out of the room closing the door behind her.
I walk to the table to where my food is, hoping she didn't poison it by the way I'm being cold and rude to her. Though I wouldn't be surprise if she did, but by hearing her voice I know she's kind and innocent and won't do such a thing. Who knows? I can't see her so I can only rely to what I hear and feel. And based on the previous conversations that we had, I know that she's nice and sincere. But that doesn't going to change anything.
After 4 bites of her dish I must say she did good. I was actually expecting worse but I was wrong. How old is she anyway? I'm not curious but I'm starting to doubt if she really made this herself. Maybe her mom did and lied to just impress me. What did the quote say? 'The best way to win a mans heart is through his stomach.' I would hate her for eternity if that's the case because I despise liars. I maybe be blind but I'm not going to tolerate someone lying to my face. So I pray she's telling the truth, because two months are sure long.
With that thought in mind, I didn't realize I finished eating and even consumed all the drink. I was about to call for her but I manage to stop the words from leaving my mouth. Instead I stood up, pick up the tray and walk through the door. I don't want her inside of my room for the rest of the day, so I just leave the tray outside on the floor preventing her from getting in. I hope she's smart enough to get the message. I went inside to get myself busy wishing for the day to end quickly.
