Skylar blinked at the bright flash of light. She was then thrown back into her body. She sat up with a start. She had a headache. Calista attended to her. "Are you ok Sky?" Skylar turned to her and put out a reassuring hand to her friend. Calista took it and squeezed it. Beside her David groaned. Skylar released Calistas hand and started to fuss over David. He slowly opened his eyes and rubbed them.
He mumbled her name. She put her pal on his forehead and gently began to move it into his hair.
"I'm here" she whispered.
Calista cleared her throat. "I better get going. I've got to put Persephone to bed. She gestured towards the little girl that was curled up on the floor in a fetal position tucked up in a blanket. Skylar smiled and whispered to her friend "have a safe trip home
