Kai stared at Nolan, who sat across from him, eyes fixed on the desk. A pen spun lazily between his fingers, the silence in the room thick enough to choke on. Kai let out a sigh, obviously to get Nolan's attention or better still, break the deafening silence in the room. But it didn't seem enough to pull Nolan out of his thoughts. He even took up the bottle of scotch on the table and noisily poured it into a glass, but Nolan still didn't look up. Finally, Kai sighed.
