"Happy birthday, Asher!" Mitch yelled, hurrying toward his friend with a small gift box in hand.
"Yay, Mitch!" Asher squealed, rushing toward the boy with uncontained excitement. They both met in the middle of the garden, nearly knocking each other over as they hugged tightly.
Mitch's mom, who followed behind, gave Jules a smile and dropped Asher's actual gift on the gift table. Then headed off to where the other parents were.
Asher was the first to pull away and collect the gift. "Want to see my bouncy castle?"
Mitch nodded frantically and Asher took off in a direction, with Mitch tagging closely behind. "Later I'll ask my mummy if we can see my room!" Asher added happily.
