Grace: We were leaving the Louvre when my day went from amazing to terrible in the matter of a few seconds. Hunter and I had spent the whole day at the museum, only taking a break for lunch. If there had been an option to never leave the building that was the largest art museum in the world, I would have taken it. I felt like a kid in a candy store with the endless amount of paintings we got to see, and as far as I could tell, Hunter seemed to enjoy it too. I pointed out my favorite pieces to him and he eagerly asked questions when he saw a painting he liked. The tension between us seemed to have vanished, and although I still felt hurt by his rejection, my wounded pride was quickly forgotten as we explored my personal idea of heaven.
