I woke up to the dreary sounds of my hospital room– the incessant beeping of the heart rate monitor, the distant shouts of nurses and the female voice over the intercom calling a doctor to the OR. It was my sixth morning in the hospital, so I had grown used to the noises and to the stark white walls of my room. I was very much ready to leave the place though. “Hey, angel,” Hunter whispered, drawing my attention to where he was sitting on the uncomfortable plastic chair next to my bed.
