cabin in the woods

1390 Words
John cast a light spell that lit the room in an erie shadowless light. He was in a kitchen and dining area. There were two doors that he assumed went to the bedroom and bathroom. He called out a greeting, hoping no one replied. He didnt want to have to explain what was happening to some poor hermit whose cabin he just broke into. Nothing stired from the two doors but the rig by the fireplace got up and walked to him wagging his tail. It was a friendly little dog with a thick white coat that covered his eyes. John was thankful to see something alive that wasn't trying to kill and/or eat him. The dog rolled onto his belly at John's feet and playfully yapped for attention. John rubbed his belly and saw a name tag on his collar that read Max. At least one thing is this godsforsaken place isnt trying to kill him, he thought. Max the dog was appeased by the belly rub and ran to one of the doors. He barked at the door and it slowly openned. John's mood flipped like a switch and he immediately prepared to fight at a moments notice. A willowy woman with pale green skin and dark, moss green hair walked out of the room. As she walked in a strong florel sent filled the room. Her eyes widened as they made contact with John's. She snapped her fingers and the wooden floor grew roots that wrapped around his legs. He tried to jerk free but that just made them get tighter. "Keep doing that and they'll constrict till your feet fall off. Now who are you?" She look feirce and a wrong answer could easily make her end him. "I'm sorry! Please don't hurt me! There was a wolf! I ran from it and saw your house. I didn't know what else to do! He's right outside the door. He would have killed me." "Oh. is that all?" She went to the door and began to unlatch it. "Wait! Stop! It'll kill us both!" She ignored him and removed his make shift baracked. She snapped her fingers at it and the pile of furniture moved back to it's original place. The bar blocking the door moved out of the way and the door flung open. A hulking beast with dark thick fur walked in. It was a massive wolf that barely cleared the top of the door frame. John was frozen in fear amd held in place by the roots. The green woman clicked her fingers at the wolf. "Atticus, get in her and stop messing around. Why'd the hell did you bring this weak thing home?" The air around the wolf shimmered like heat rising off of him. His huge form shifted and shrank. He slowly morphed upright into a man. A very tall, insanely hot and muscular man, but just a man. His eyes stayed the glowing golden colour that they had when he was the wolf. "Come on Lorry, I was just having some fun. You should have seen it! He nearly got eaten by a tree mimic. His little butt rolled out of it naked while his cloak tried to burn the thing down." "Oh, you think burning living trees is entertaining!" "Come on Lorry, you know I'd never hurt a tree. And it wasn't even really a tree, mimics aren't really much of anything other than a mouth and stomach." "Fine, just deal with him, i'm going back to bed." Lorry left and her roots loosened and withdrew from John's legs. John's jaw was pretty much on the floor at this point. Confused as to what had just happened, he tried to back away from atticus but tripped over Max. "It's all right, no one's going to hurt you little one" Atticus came up to him and offered a hand to pull him up. "Atticus?" "That's me, what's your name there cutie?" He winked which was disarming and but also gave John nervous butterflies in his stomach. "I'm John. I'm a witch in training." "I smelt that on you. You new witches give off a smell like cinamon and pepper. Usually from using fire magic on those cloaks." "You've met witches before?" "I've only met one before you but i've seen tons of them from a distance. Always scared as hell in those conspicuous cloacks. You seem to have a good one. Life giving magic and sheilding flames. You must be quite the trainee." "Not quite, my magic is mostly tracking and scrying. The cloak was spelled by my sister." "That explains the second magic scent." "So you can smell different magics?" "Sorta. Some weres like me have a keen nose for things other species can't smell. Mine senses most types of magic." "That's amazing. Wait weres? So you're a werewolf?" "Is what it is. Werewolf is a bit of a loaded term but short answer is yes.. Anyway, llets get down to business." "Business?" "Well yeah, the reason I brought you here. So you said you do scrying and tracking magic" "Yes. I cam show you if you like?" "No need, I smelled it in the woods. That's why I brought you here. I think we have an affinity and I want to be your familier." "So you're a spirit? or demon? But usually only female witches get familiers?" "Not a demon per say. Not quite a spirit either. Nymph is close I guess, lets go with that." "Oh! Does that make your wife there a dryad?" He let out a loud, barking laugh. "That's my sister, Delorris. I call her Lorry but if you do that you might get a root where the son don't shine. As for the females only getting familiers, that's largely due to the bonding process. Some men find it...unpleasent, but i have a suspicion that wont be a problem for you." "What do you mean?" "Well i've been naked this whole time and aside from the fairly obvious staring...you're kind of pitching a tent in that cloak of yours." John wasn't exactly paying attention to little John but he looked down and realised he was fully erect. His face turned a bright red. "So i'm a little bisexual. what does that have to do with it?" "Well the rituals involved are a little...let's say intimate for lack of a better word. Most men wouldn't do it but seeing as you're flexible with it, we can make a deal." "What exactly is involved in this? Am I signing my soul away? How does this work?" " Well there's a few steps to the process, all a few days apart. It isn't really custom to disclose the full process beforehand. Nothing scary though. As for your soul, no you aren't signing it away. You are, however, bonding it with mine. In exchange, I will guide you and help you to grow and shape your magic." "And what do you get out of this?" "Well aside from seeing your cute little butt" he winked again "I get an anchor in the human world so I can travel with you outside of the forrest. If we complete the bond, you would technically pass your ritual as well. it's win win really." John was still blushing and staring at Atticus's naked body made it a little hard to think straight. He weighed the options in his head. He had barely survived the night in the forrest and this is probably his best chance to pass the ritual. "f**k it, let's do it." Atticus grinned. "Perfect. So, first step. We seal it with a kiss." He wrapped his around John and drew him in. His hand cupped the back of John's neck and angles his head upwards towards his lips. John gazed deeply into his eyes and his insides fluttered in anticipation. Atticus drew closer and John closed his eyes. The lips met with a delicate touch, Atticus applied a little pressure then started to pull back slowly. John found himself pulling Atticus back and kissing him deeper. Parting his lips, he met Atticus's tounge with his own. He found his hands exploring Atticus's chest and back muscles. Defined and strong but pleseantly soft underneath his touch. John pulled away and smiling and the familiar bond was created.
