Dakota is spending the day with Rupert while he finally undergoes his last immunotherapy treatment, making up for the one he missed last week when we were deep in the Squamish wilderness retrieving Jacinta. As such, my adopted sister is not available to shuttle me about town. Catrina and Tommy have gone back to Thalia to spread the good news and prepare for our return home. Finan’s doctor says he should be able to leave in another few days, barring any further infection and if he responds well to the IV antibiotics currently wreaking havoc on his GI system. I consider asking Mrs. Rowleigh if she’d mind loaning me her car, but I can’t bring myself to do it.
