Greta Lovelace The room was completely silent, so quiet that I could have heard pins drop. The only sound filling the air was the occasional purr coming from Mel The Terrible who had snuggled up in my arm and seemed determined to stay there. My heart was beating fast and I felt like every nerve I had was on high alert. Despite trying to remain outwardly calm and collected, I could feel my palms sweating, a tingle of electricity surging through my veins, and a wave of nausea washing over me. The tension between us felt unbearable and it seemed like it would never end.
