[Charles' POV- continued from chapter 45]
The moment I removed my lips from Amelia's, I looked into her eyes.
"Feeling better now?" I asked while I observed her expression.
She nodded while she was looking back at me with a mix of surprise and confusion on her face. Her lips were slightly swollen, while her cheeks had turned red.
"Good, cause that was the most selfish thing I could think of," I added, before I hurried off, without another word.
I didn't know what was going through her mind at that moment when I chose to just walk away, but I did know that if I hadn't, I wouldn't have been able to hold back my desire to kiss her once more.
I wanted to go out and get some air to clear my head, but the moment I opened the door, I was met by Nathan and Archie.
