Ethan's call came in as I drove to the grocery store to pick up the stuff I'd ordered before now.
As usual, his voice was husky unlike Levi, whose voice changes with his mood.
I smiled dryly, pressing the bud on my ear since I'd already placed my calls on hands free.
“Did your boss receive any letter?” he surprised me a bit by not starting with the words I expected.
“What letter?" I had to question back since it was confusing.
“Do letters have any other name?” he switched to his sarcastic tone and that got me rolling my eyes as if it were a physical dialogue.
“Well, I don't know about that. I left his house a short while ago" I informed, anticipating his digression.
“So how did it go?” he finally digressed.
“Normally. I gave her the fake pills, it's not going to work
