Those were the words I said to Ethan yesterday before finally leaving his house. I'd been so down since then and the message regarding Jessica's health was all that distracted my emotions for a while.
The contract was expiring in nine days and even if we had seven extra days, What's the probability that I'ld have Sophia back in my house before those sixteen days are over?..

“Levi?” Jessica's voice interrupted my thoughts. She just got discharged and was right beside me at the car's front seat while I drove absentmindedly, heading to her apartment.
“Huh?" I voiced, slowing down a bit to go over the road bump.
“I've been talking to you for the past five minutes now and you haven't even been listening. What's up?"
