Could It Be a Dream?
I couldn't stop thinking about how she would surprise me. Though it had started as a simple game of truth or dare, we both became deeply caught up in it.
Before she left, the stare in her eyes was both charming and shocking. I couldn't resist. I couldn't look away. I wanted to keep staring until those eyes came closer, until our foreheads touched.
Maybe the ticking of the clock had paused.
The room was silent, yet all I could hear was the rhythm of our heartbeats. Our legs were tangled together, and slowly, I slid my hand across her smooth skin. Every touch felt like a journey through a valley of sweetness.
I could feel her fear, but I could also feel something else.
Her heart skipped.
Perhaps she had realized that the love growing inside her was growing inside me too.
My fingers wandered gently as I placed my palm against her chest. I felt it. I felt it so strongly that words could never describe it. Her gaze and mine melted together like sugar dissolving in tea.
For a moment, I was completely lost.
Then my hand moved a little further.
Like a railway officer who already knows where the tracks will end, she knew exactly where I was headed.
"Stop," she whispered.
Immediately, I pulled my hand away.
Feeling rejected, I thought she didn't share the same longing I felt.
Yet she kept staring at me.
Then she kissed me.
Oh, her lips.
As red as a rose, as soft as freshly fallen snow, and as inviting as a calm sea. I wanted to lose myself in them forever.
But suddenly she pushed me away, stood up, and walked toward the bathroom.
Sometimes I wondered how she could change the mood so quickly.
If love was as simple as she made it seem, why did it hurt so much?
A hollow ache settled in my stomach. I slipped beneath the blanket and stared at the ceiling, pulling the covers up to my neck.
I felt abandoned.
As she walked away, her graceful figure swayed with every step. It was a sight I had imagined countless times. Even with my eyes closed, I could picture every curve of her silhouette in perfect detail.
Inside the bathroom, she closed the door and leaned against it.
All she could think about was me.
She wanted to impress me in every way she could, just to see the love reflected in my eyes.
Unknowingly, she had already flooded my heart with that love, and she had become the ark that carried me through every storm. Perhaps Noah himself would have understood what it meant to fall this deeply.
She turned on the shower.
Water flowed over her smooth skin, tracing every graceful line of her body.
Moments later, without even reaching for a towel, she stepped out and walked toward me.
Tiny droplets fell from her body, leaving wet footprints on the rug behind her.
Still lying on the bed, staring absentmindedly at the ceiling, I suddenly sensed her presence.
I turned.
And I was speechless.
The water dripped from her skin. Her beautiful eyes blinked softly. A tiny beauty mark rested upon her thigh.
My eyes traveled far from her feet to her face.
I couldn't speak.
I couldn't breathe.
I simply swallowed the dryness in my mouth.
Perhaps it was instinct.
Perhaps I was possessed.
Without realizing it, I found myself standing.
We both took a step forward.
Then another.
She wrapped her arms around my neck.
The warmth of her body pressed against my chest, sending my heart into chaos.
The droplets sliding from her face reached her lips.
Those lips.
I wanted to touch them.
To kiss them.
"Lazy bone! Stand up! It's time to go to work!"
A sharp slap landed on my shoulder.
I jerked awake.
Funaki stood beside me, arms folded and clearly annoyed.
My eyes widened as I looked around the room.
No tangled legs.
No romantic stare.
No wet footprints.
No beautiful girl.
Just my small room and the morning sunlight peeking through the window.
I groaned and buried my face in the pillow.
It had all been a dream.
