The story is about a girl who came from a family of four.They lived in a community which Female genital mutilation was practiced and early marriage.Girl children were seen as source of wealth to the family because they would be married off and the family would get money.This girl was not an exemption she had to pass all this painful stage of circumcision.Her father made her pass through this.Her mother didn't know where her daughter was because the husband said she had gone to visit her grandma.He kept this hidden from his wife becouse he knew even if his wife has passed through it she does not support it.The girl under went female genital mutilation by force because she didn't wasn't to under go it.after that her father forcefully married her to an old wealthy man as his seventh wife so that he can get rich he never cared about her dreams of becoming a doctor the only thing he wanted was money.One day the man reviewed to his wife about the whereabouts of there daughter the wife felt so sorry for her daughter and she said I wish I know this earlier my dear I could protect you but hope you forgive dear because in our society men are the decision makers us women we have no say but to follow everything said by men.Our society sees us as week human beings.

There was a beautiful girl named Cristal.she had long hair,curved sedative body,dark skin.she lived in a family of four.Her father Mr Josh was a chavanist just like everyone in there community he loved his son Max more than cristal.He educated both his children at primary school level but he always said that educating girls was waste of resources.He would always talk rude to cristal she would cry all night.Josh had a wife named Jewel.Jewel was kind, loving and caring.she loved all her children equally.when Cristal and Max finished there primary school education they had hopes to join secondary school get good grades and join university of there choices.Both children did will and were called to high school of there choice.Cristal was the first pupil in there school and as the traditional of the school she was sponsored all her fees was cleared at the beginning of the term by the sponsor and shopping was provided.She was determined top in the final exam which would help her to join university.She got A plan In the final exam.Her mother Always encouraged her that she can do well and her mother believed in her capabilities.Her dreams stated fading when she finished high school her father saw her as a potential wife to someone and a source of wealth.One day two elderly women came and talked with Cristal's parent.Jewel did not agree to what the two women insisted but women did not have power to make any decisions in the family as they were seen as incapable.Josh agreed with the women that Cristal was fully blossomed and now it was time for her to be circumcised and married off.After that conversation Jewel didn't sleep that night knowing what was going to happen to her precious daughter Cristal.she cried and this made Cristal unhappy because she never wanted to see her mother sad or troubled .she asked her mother what was the problem instead of answering the question her mother sang a song for her this song My dear cristal with dreams bright like the sun life because I can't forgive myself for what is going to happen to you.My dear cristal please forgive me because I am hopeless I can't help you my sunshine my light is becoming dim and my hope is fading.But remember mother loves you.My sunshine you are an eagle i know one day you will find a way flap your wings and fly high above the sky.Jewel hugged her daughter so tight.They went and prepared supper together served food and eat.Josh wanted to break the news to Cristal about her circumsition but lacked worded to say and said cristal I need to tell you something he cleared his throat and kept quiet for a long time and said it is nothing go to sleep.cristal insisted she wanted to know what his father wanted to say but his father response was heartbreaking he said go to sleep you fool do you think I have anything to say to a failure like you I hate you I don't know why you mother gave birth to you.you are a fool.it would be better if she gave me two boys instead of a girl.Cristal run to her room and locked the door her mother came and told her that my dear don't mind him focus on the future.Cristal asked her mother what her father wanted to say and her mother told her with tears on her eyes he want you to be circumcised and married off.Cristal told her mother please don't allow this happen to me her mother said I will do my best.later that night Jewel talked with her husband and told him some culture should be buried because they are not healthy and helpful.Josh Sayed you woman who do you think you are to tell me what is good and what is bad instead of talking to your daughter to prepare her for the cut.The next day her mother told Cristal I have done my best but you know your father he can't listen.Cristal told her father she will not undergo the cut as the culture demands.the following day Josh told Jewel that Cristal was going to her grandma place but be had hidden plans.Cristal has never had her father mention existence of her grandma this was the first time there mother want to go with cristal but her husband refused and told her to remain and take care of the house.cristal was taken to a hut in the forest she slept alone that night she wondered were her grandma could be the hut was locked from outside she could not open she sensed something wasn't right she slept but with many questions the following morning she was woken up by the singing outside the hut.two woman can in and removed her clothes she was taken outside the hut without clothes cold water poured on her she saw the two women one holding a razor blade she said she doesn't want to undergo the cut but her crys were not heard two women forced her to sit down and held her legs tightly she felt like the world has crushed on her.She wished she was dead.During the incident she lost alot of blood.A doctor was called to treat her from the hut because they could not take her to the hospital because female circumcision was illegal and prohibited.The government of the day had said that anybody who will try or be found doing this act will be taken to court and sentenced.she was taken care of and she was well.After she recovered she still was alone in the hut.she had no one to talk to.she missed her mother very much but she didn't blame her she blamed the culture.A week later a car came to the compound it was not usually she wondered who the person was and what brought the person there.she was surprised to see it was a old man.the old man welcomed himself in the small deserted hut and what surprised her most is that the old man called her cristal my wife.she asked your wife I don't recall myself being married.The old man laughed sarcastically and Sayed I paid you bride price.
