Sophia’s POV
I woke up the next morning with a warm body pressed against my back and arms wrapped around me, but in front of me the bed was cold. Xander long gone. I tried to wiggle out of Kane’s grip but as usual he pulled me closer and tightened his grip on me.
“Baby girl, it’s not time to get up yet.”
“Where is Xander?”
“His office, he is behind on work, so he went in early.”
“Oh.” I couldn’t help the disappointment in my voice.
“I need to use the bathroom. Please let me go.”
“Are you ok? You sound sad.”
“I’m fine.” I said, slipping out of bed and walking to the bathroom.
I turned the shower on and slipped under the hot water. It felt amazing on my body. I was definitely sore from last night, but I loved every second of it.
