Xander’s POV
When Miles said that he had a sister that was three, I was dumbfounded. She couldn’t be mine, could she? There was a big possibility. I couldn’t stay there anymore. I stormed out of the dining hall and went outside, and shifted the second I was outside. I let Jax have control.
“Jax, could we really have a kid we didn’t know about?”
“Ya, the timing is right, and we didn’t use protection.”
“She wasn’t in heat.”
“She doesn’t have to be. Their heat just makes it way more likely that it will happen, but it can happen when they aren’t in heat either.”
How could I tell Sophia this? I know she wants kids and can’t have them. How can I ask her to help raise one that is a product of my rejected mate? I was going to find this kid and find out for sure if she was mine or not.
